Wild Country Safari Park

This was such a FUN place to go with my kids! They absolutely loved our time here and did not want to leave. We rode a bus through the park and they allowed everyone to feed all the animals included with our field trip, they then got to go and pet and feed kangaroos , ostrich , deer , donkey, zebra, CAMELS! And more. The camels were hilarious the kids were screaming and laughing the whole Time! They have a nice lunch picnic area, another petting zoo and playground equipment. For a bunch of wild animals everywhere this place was extremely clean and tidy. We also loved talking to the birds in the gift shop. The only other advice or information would be that if you come I highly suggest you use their tour bus to drive through the park rather than your personal vehicle. I wouldn’t want the animals scratching or getting slobber inside my actual vehicle but the tour was perfect and they tell you a lot of cool animal facts too. Highly suggest a visit here

The other drive yourself through Safari Park I have been to did not allow any feeding of animals and more variety of animals. That said, this was pretty darn cool seeing the animals look you right in the eye all up close and personal. It was like they were staring into my soul. Relatively inexpensive. I would recommend if you are doing other things in the area, not necessarily making a special trip just for this.

We found this drive-thru safari traveling from Jackson, Mississippi to Shreveport, Louisiana and what an enjoyable stop it was! From the exotic birds, converted safari school bus, variety of animals (camels and ostriches were our favorite) and experiencing feeding them, to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, we had a blast.

We had a fantastic time. Just the two of us on the bus (you defo don't want to drive your vehicle through). I was busy feeding all the herbavores as my hubby took pictures. I managed to get a few of this Zonkey. The Beefalo are spectacular. Bison and Watusi cattle crosses. Such fun!!!

It's a nice place to escape and be with the nature. Animals are friendly, happy, and well-fed. The staff and the owner are very informative and welcoming. Would love to re-visit next time.
